Bangladesh-Japan ICT Engineers' Training (B-JET) Program 12th Batch Registration

JOB CONTEXT

Bangladesh Japan ICT Engineers’ Training (B-JET) Program is conducted in collaboration with North South University and the University of Miyazaki. Under the mission of "Create people and organizations for solving social problems in both Bangladesh and Miyazaki", the Program aims to provide Bangladeshi ICT Engineers with the minimum Japanese language skills necessary to work in the Japanese ICT market. We aim to provide students with the knowledge necessary to live and work in Japan for about 20 weeks. This program has three schooling sessions of one week each before two term exams and the final exam although the classes are basically conducted online.

B-JET: "Bangladesh-Japan ICT Engineers' Training Program" implemented within the JICA technical cooperation project implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) for eight batches from 2017 to 2020. Succeeded by North South University (NSU), the University of Miyazaki, and cooperating companies (BJIT Group, B&M, and SHINKOSHUPPANSHA KEIRINKAN) in March 2021. Following the past B-JET history, the first batch of this Program (October 2021 to February 2022) is numbered as the ninth.

TRAINING SCHEDULE (TENTATIVE):

1. Training duration: 20 weeks (100 days in total, including the compulsory and extracurricular courses)
2. Days: Monday to Friday of every week
3. Time: 8:30 a.m. To 4:00 p.m.
4. Orientation Program: 24th March, 2023
5. Start: 3rd April, 2023
6. End: 10th March, 2023

CONTENTS:

The Program provides 400 classes (300 hours) of Japanese language education. This is a compulsory course. In addition to this, there are 200 classes (150 hours) of an extracurricular. Therefore, the overall curriculum is a total of 600 classes (450 hours) consisting of the compulsory course and the extracurricular course. (1 class = 45 mitutes).

COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROGRAM:

- Students are required to meet the following two conditions to complete their courses
- Examinations: The scores need to be at or above the pass mark set by the examiners both in the term and final exam
- Attendance rate: 80% or more

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Regularly participate in training.
- Students must have the dedication and adaptive mindset to learn the Japanese language and corporate manner.
- Proactive attitude toward learning. (e.g. turn on the camera while taking the online class).
- Students must strictly maintain the training schedule mentioned above.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Internet connection with your own device (Laptop, Desktop PC, not mobile phone) for taking online training is mandatory
- Participation in three schooling sessions is mandatory. Students are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation expenses for schooling.
- Degree (Bachelor) in CSE, IT, or ICT-related subjects.
- ITEE Level 2 (FE) certified candidates can participate in the VIVA directly.
- Candidates with 2 years or more working experience in programming/software development / AI / Machine learning are preferable, fresher can also apply.
- Having considerable knowledge of modern programming languages, good problem-solving ability, and good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design is preferable.
- Strong interest in learning the Japanese language. Also, self-learning mindset & good communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work in Japan

TUITION FEE:

- No tuition fee, but only a Teaching-Learning Materials fee and facility cost of 10,000 BDT is required.
