It is a great privilege and opportunity for NSU students to have Dr. Mohammad Kashro Miah as the director of the Career and Placement Center (CPC) at North South University. He has earned a Ph.D. and Post-doctoral degree from Nagoya University, Japan in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He has earned another Post-doctoral degree from Northeastern University, the USA in 2010. He has twenty-five years of teaching experience with various reputed academic institutions all across the world. His guidance has allowed CPC to ensure progressive development for its students through internship programs, job searches, and placements, seminars, and workshops in NSU. He is able to transform CPC into the first window in the development of the career path for the students who are not well informed about the corporate and the business world. His history of accomplishments and experience ensures the proper guidance for NSU students’ future careers.

Sadia Sultana Hridi

Sadia joined North South University in September 2018 as a Job Counselor. She has done both her graduation and post-graduation from North South University and has accumulated work experience worth 9 years and more in the field of Human resources include, especially expertise in the areas of recruitment and selection. She started her career with Prime Bank Limited, later she joined Rocket Internet gmbh (when foodpanda first launched in Bangladesh ), then she became a part of the Rupoor Nuclear power plant project HR Team, and her proficiency in recruitment lead her to “The Embassy of Netherlands”, CSR section for Netherlands contribution in the Bangladesh rural sectors. Her expertise in all the various recruitment units with diverse organizations finally got her appointed as a Job Counselor at the CPC. Presently she is tasked with grooming and counseling the students regarding the ways to overcome the challenges in the Job Market and prepare them for their placement into this competitive market.

Shorifa Tuz Jahan

Ms. Shorifa Tuz Jahan has been working at the Career and Placement Center (CPC) since 2019 as an Assistant Officer. She has completed her Master of Business Administration from North South University and Bachelor’s degree in English from American International University of Bangladesh with the distinction of “Cum Laude.” She has previous work experience in several consultancy firms over the years 2016 to 2018. She has been assigned at the CPC to oversee all the document processes of internship and all the student engagement through the CPC. Ms. Shorifa is also responsible to prepare paperwork for issuing forwarding and job placement letters and is also obligated to answer any query of the students.

Rezina Akhter Jahan

Ms. Rezina Akhter Jahan joined North South University in 2005 with a Master’s degree from Asian University. She is currently working at the Career and Placement Center (CPC) with a total work experience of 16 years as the department secretary. She oversees the Excel Bootcamp program and handles inter-departmental correspondence. The key responsibility of Ms. Rezina includes arranging appointments and assisting the Director at the office. As the department secretary, she is in charge of organizing and servicing meetings and also observes the hospitality affiliated activities in programs and events organized by the CPC.

Mohammad Salim

Mohammad Salim joined North South University on 30th January, 2000. Since then, he has been assisting the Career and Placement Center as an office support staff. Mr. Salim completed his Bachelor of Arts from the Open University. He is currently in charge of filling and recording all the incoming and outgoing documents such as memo, notice, job circulars and internship records. Apart from the daily activities of the department, Mr. Salim also supports CPC regarding events such as seminars, workshop, road shows and boot camps.

Abdul Jalil Molla

Abdul Jalil Mollah has been assisting the Career and Placement Center as an office support staff since 2015. Mr. Jalil is in charge of assisting CPC with documentation, day to day official tasks and event management. As a part of his job responsibility, Mr. Jalil works as a core team member during national events such as seminars, road shows and career fairs.

Kazi Tanvir Akter

Kazi Tanvir Akter is a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) graduate from North South University. He attended North South university in 2018 and completed his bachelor's degree in September 2022 with “Magna Cum Laude” academic praise. He is a coding enthusiast and Deep Learning expert. He did several projects on AI assistant, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Data Analysis with Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan and Dr. Sifat Momen. Now he is on the way to publishing his research works and projects. He is notably skilled in web development and mobile app development. He joined Career and Placement Center (CPC) in September 2022 right after completing his graduation. His multitasking and problem-solving abilities are supportive contributions to the CPC team.
