Dr. Farzana Nahid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and International Business at North South University (NSU), where she also serves as the Director of the Career and Placement Center. With over two decades of experience spanning academia, media, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship development, she brings a unique blend of professional versatility and dedication to student advancement.
She has served as a project coordinator, module designer, and trainer for several national and international capacity-building initiatives, including the City Alo Women Entrepreneurs’ Program, WE Connect (World Bank), and Business Support Center (World Bank). She previously served as the Founder Director of NSU Startups Next and has held corporate roles at Robi Axiata and Sparkle International.
At NSU, Dr. Nahid holds key administrative roles such as Chair of the Outreach Committee, Coordinator for Social Engagement under APT, and Career and Personal Development Counselor. She has also contributed as a member of the International Quality Assurance Cell. Outside academia, she is a Senior News Presenter at NTV and has served as International Media Secretary of the News Broadcasters’ Association.
She is actively involved in several professional and social organizations, including the Women Entrepreneurs Association (WEA), the American Marketing Association (AMA), and Faith Bangladesh.
Dr. Nahid holds a Ph.D. in Business History from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2017), and an MBA (2007) and BBA (2004) in Finance and Marketing from North South University, Bangladesh.
Under her leadership, the Career and Placement Center (CPC) plays a vital role in empowering students through internships, job placements, career fairs, and skills workshops. Dr. Nahid strongly believes that global exposure, strategic insight, and cross-cultural experiences are essential to career success in today’s competitive world. With her deep commitment to student growth and institutional development, she is helping NSU students build purposeful, skill-driven careers both in Bangladesh and internationally.
