Orientation Program of B-MEET 3rd Batch

Program Summary:

The orientation program for the third batch of the Bangladesh-Miyazaki ICT Engineers Educational Training (B-MEET) was held at the B-JET center on 5th June 2023 at 5:30 PM. The event commenced with an inspiring welcome address delivered by Professor Mohammad Khasro Miah, the Director of the Career and Placement Center (CPC) and the visionary behind the establishment of the B-JET center.

Bangladesh-Miyazaki ICT Engineers Educational Training Project (B-MEET) is a constructive training program designed and initiated jointly by JICA and the Career and Placement Center (CPC). The program is monitored and facilitated by North South University, and the University of Miyazaki. This program is designed for Bangladeshi university students across all academic fields, enabling them to prepare for future employment opportunities in both Bangladesh and Japan through the B-MEET (BS Class) curriculum.

The third batch of the B-MEET program comprises of comprehensive training classes, with each class spanning two hours. The training sessions will take place at the designated premises of North South University (NSU), with one online class scheduled per week. The program will be led by experienced Japanese language teachers and business professionals from Japan.

Following the successful completion of the B-MEET 2nd Batch, a total of 22 candidates have been selected for the upcoming 3rd batch. Among these candidates, 11 are from North South University, 9 are from BRAC University with the remaining others are from the National University, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU).

The B-MEET training program offers trainees Japanese language lessons and insights into Japanese culture, study methods, business etiquette, and technical knowledge. It also provides guidance on interview preparation and resume writing, increasing employment prospects in both Japan and Bangladesh. The University of Miyazaki will award trainees with certificates upon successfully completing the B-MEET's third batch training program.
