B-JET Hosts Successful Networking Event with Japanese Delegates

Program Summary:

The Career and Placement Center of North South University hosted a Networking event with Japanese Business Delegates at B-JET Center on February 26, 2023, at North South University Premises. The event was held at the North South University premises and provided a platform for networking and establishing connections between the Japanese delegation and successful B-JET trainees.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Mohammad Khasro Miah, Director of NSU's Career and Placement Center. He welcomed the delegates and highlighted the significance of such networking events for fostering economic ties between Japan and Bangladesh. Furthermore, professor Khasro Miah emphasized B-JET's commitment to promoting job placement across the border while truncating the gap between Japanese IT Companies and Bangladeshi computer engineers. Undoubtedly, JICA's partnership training program, the Bangladesh-Japan ICT Engineers (B-JET), has elevated the abilities and competencies of Bangladeshi undergraduate students.

Kenichi Wajima, HR of Globalgeeks, graced the event while giving an engaging introductory speech about B-JET to the Japanese business delegates. He adeptly responded to all the delegates' queries, effectively conveying B-JET's triumphant story of direct job placement. Following his presentation, the graduate trainees of B-JET Center, with their impressive language proficiency, intelligence, and efficiency, delivered a compelling introduction to Bangladeshi culture, customs, and festivals in the Japanese language, earning accolades from the Japanese business delegates.

The Networking event featured a significant Japanese business delegation, including prominent industry representatives such as Kanae Matsuda, Assistant Director of JETRO; Yuya Usuki, Manager of JETRO; Nakamura, Advisor of JETRO, DHAKA SHOO-KOO-KAI, Director of JBCCI, Makiko Sugiyama, President &CEO of NIKKEI Biz Lab Asia, and Hiroki OI, Resident Representative of JETRO, Mehedi Masud Bjit, COO & Board of directors, BJIT Limited, Manami Sasamoto, Bjit, Kawasaki Mitsuo, Deputy Country Manager, Sanyo Engineering & Construction INC. Yasuaki Tsukahara, Growth CAR. These prominent Japanese business delegates expressed a keen interest in exploring networking and job placement opportunities in Japan and recruiting graduate trainees from the B-JET center. The delegates' enthusiasm for B-JET's trainees is a testament to the quality of education and training the B-JET offers and its commitment to fostering networking with Japanese companies.

B-JET members had the opportunity to interact with the Japanese delegates through one-on-one meetings and group discussions, allowing them to share their expertise and knowledge on the global market.
